About Me

I am not really sure what to say here because most people that read my blog already know who I am. But, if you don’t, here is a quick list of facts about me:
- My name is Kelly Moreton
- I am 28 years old
- I am a Personal Assistant for a great family
- I love kids
- I generally learn the hard way
- I love to be outside
There is probably a lot more to know about me, but you will need to read my blog to find out all of that goodness!
I know that a blog should have a purpose, but I don’t know that this one really does. Back in 2005 I had a big loss in my life and I started a blog as a way to process my grief. That blog is not public, but I discovered through it that I really enjoy writing. I also thought it would be a great way to keep my friends and family that aren’t local up to date. So I don’t write to ignite discussion, although comments are always welcome. I don’t really have anything deep to say, so I don’t write to inspire. This really is just a blog about my life. It’s what I am up to, some pictures that I have taken that I think are cool, what’s going on at work, things that jump out in me in something I read, or some thoughts that I am wrestling with. Take it for what it’s worth!
Why the name? When I look back on my life, all of the decisions (good and bad), all of the tough lessons learned the hard way, the loss, the joy…all of it…the most appropriate word that I could think of was surrender. And when I think about surrender and the story of my life, the only word to describe surrender is beautiful. So, these posts are reflections and brushstrokes of my life, my beautiful surrender.
